Although many people visit the Dominican Republic for a relaxing, tropical beach vacation, the country offers an incredible variety of sports and adventure opportunities. Cabarete is a unique location in the Dominican Republic. The Front-desk Staff and Management will be happy to assist you if you have any question about the following activities or if you would like to make a reservation.

	Windsurfing - Windsurfers have been coming to Cabarete for over 20 years for good wind and big swells. Almost all conditions exist in Cabarete. There is flat-water inside the reef and side shore wave sailing outside the reef. The wind usually starts soft and builds up in the afternoon. If you are a windsurfer who has never been to Cabarete, you must come.
	Sailing - In 2006 Cabarete was also host to several Laser Sailing events including a Regatta and a training session by the US Olympic team. Laser Gear is available for rent at Bic Center, located in the center of Cabarete.
	Surf - Encuentro Beach is the best spot for Surfing. Perfect waves for beginners and advanced riders. You can take lessons or rent surfboards at the surfschools located right on the beach!
	Wakeboard - Located at only 5 minutes of Cabarete East you will find the famous Yásica River where you can Waterski, Wakeboard and Wakeskate. The river runs up to the estuary where the river and the ocean come together!
	Golf - There are two Golf courses nearby. At 45 minutes East from Cabarete, you can take the challenge to play at PLAYA GRANDE, the internationally acclaimed 18-holes golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones. PLAYA GRANDE has been elected one of the 10 most beautiful golf courses in the world. It is situated along the Atlantic Ocean. We can also recommend you another 18-holes golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, PLAYA DORADA Golf Club which is also an interesting golf course to play at 30 minutes West from Cabarete, in Puerto Plata.
	Kayak - Most of the kayaking and whitewater rafting trips are done on the turbulent Rio Yaque del Norte, near the mountain resort of Jarabacoa. Most excursions open to the general public are Class III, but a little rain can make a big difference in the highlands!
	Horseback Riding - Take a gallop on the beach, or a tour in the mountains, available for advanced riders and beginners.

	Kitesurfing - Cabarete was host to several World Cup Kitesurfing events (PKRA). This event takes place in Bozo Beach on the West side of Cabarete Bay. The next bay is called Kite Beach where all the kite schools are located. From our Resort you can start a downwind trip to Kite Beach, it is a nice ride with a spectacular view of Cabarete Bay.
	Paragliding - The Dominican Republic has some of the most dramatic places to go Paragliding in the World. Getting to some of the take-off points is already a great adventure by itself.
	Catamaran - A magical boat trip will take you on a journey along the most breath-taking coastline of the North Coast. Your sailing discovery will be one of total comfort in the best conditions one can ever hope to experience. The Tip Top Tour includes lunch and open bar, there is also snorkelling involved and a stop at the famous Ocean World where Dolphin Encounters are a must!
	Diving - Sosúa Bay is located 15 minutes West of Cabarete and is known for Scuba-Diving, you can enjoy the natural beauty of Sosúa Beach corals and colourful fishes.
	Fishing - Fishing excursions are also available. Summer is the best time to do so, in terms of the variety and numbers of fish, but the sport can be practiced with success all year round.
	Mountain Biking – It is a real challenge to go on a mountain biking tour in the DR. There is a choice of different tours with different levels of difficulty. The trails in the mountains are beautiful. ‘Iguana Mama’ is the main tour operator to organise these tours, they also organise hiking trips to waterfalls in the mountains.
	Dirt Bike Excursions - If you are adventurous and would like to explore the spectacular mountains of the Dominican Republic, then a dirt bike excursion might be just the thing for you!!!
